STUDENT DIES OF CRIMINAL OPERATION
SEVERAL YOUTHS HELD FOR EXAMINATION—PROSECUTOR PROMISES TO BRING GUILTY PARTIES TO JUSTICE—SCHOOL OFFICIALS BLAME FRATERNITIES.

KANSAS CITY, Aug. 7.—(By United Press.—High school fraternities are indirectly blamed for the death of Miss Meta Zook, age 18, student of the West Port high school, as a result of a criminal operation by Drs. Fabian Pratt and Jacob Hall, who are today held for manslaughter in the second degree.

The prohibition of dances and school entertainments except under chaperonage is the result of the tragedy, according to instructors today. The case, it is expected, will result in the Introduction of sex hygiene in the school curriculum.

Sixteen boys are involved in the Zook case. Prosecutor Jacobs says he is determined to punish the guilty parties.
