DOCTOR IS HELD FOR TRIAL

Charged With Manslaughter in Connection With Death of High
School Girl

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Sept. 6.—Dr. Jacob Hall was presented before the criminal court today on a charge of manslaughter in connection with the death of Meta Zook, a high school girl, last August. Dr. Fabian Pratt, who was given his preliminary hearing simultaneously with Dr. Hall was discharged on the ground of “insufficient evidence.” Dr. Hall furnished
$2,000 bonds and was released.

The principal witnesses today were boys of the so-called “Armour Boulevard bunch,” of Westport high school, who told of intimate relations with Meta Zook and of making up a purse to pay for the operation that caused her death.

Disclosures made at the incident involved a dozen young men from fashionable residence districts and led to agittion of a school board rule prohibiting boys of wealthy families attending high school in their motorcars and taking the “co-eds” joy riding.
